I configured my IoT Edge Router like WAN mode, now i cant access by putty 192.168.16.1, web neither.

How can i reset IoT Edge Router? I push reset botton for 1 minute, but it doesn't fix.

You'll need to scan your LAN

You'll need to scan your LAN for the Edge router's new IP address (e.g 192.168.1.[])

How to figure out the IPv4 address on your IOTR in WAN mode

Assuming your Windows PC and IOTR are both connected to the same network, you can use the following steps to find the IPv4 of the IOTR in WAN mode from your Windows PC:

  1. Open up Windows command prompt and do a broadcast ping.  In the example below I am pinging the 10.230.255.255 broadcast address because the IPv4 of my Windows host is 10.230.65.15.  It is expected to get a "Request timed out" as a response:

    PS C:\> ping 10.230.255.255
Pinging 10.230.255.255 with 32 bytes of data:
    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.
    Request timed out.
    Ping statistics for 10.230.255.255:
        Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),

You will need to adjust the broadcast ping according to the IPv4 and subnet of your Windows PC.

  2. Next issue "arp -a" command to get a list of all the conncted devices on your network.  You can couple that with a pipe to "findstr" to specifically look for the NIC prefix of "00-13-50" which all IOTR devices share:

    PS C:\> arp -a | findstr "00-13-50"
      10.230.64.90          00-13-50-50-14-64     dynamic

This yielded 10.230.64.90 as the IPv4 of the IOTR.  You can confirm that this is the IOTR you are looking for by verifying the MAC ID (e.g. 00-13-50-14-64 in this case) which should match the one on the Ethernet port of your IOTR.

  3. Alternatively you can install a Windows application called Avanced IP Scanner (can be downloaded from http://www.advanced-ip-scanner.com/) and run a Scan.  You can use the search filter to narrow it to IOTR device by searching for "ssniotr": image2018-9-25_14-27-10.png

  4. Now that you know the IPv4 of the IOTR in WAN mode, you can reach it using this IPv4 address via Putty or similar SSH client to SSH into the IOTR to make config changes (e.g. switching it back to EDGE mode) or to perform troubleshooting steps. Similarly you can use this IPv4 address to get to the IOTR config / landing webpage via web browser:
