Simulation Broken

I have an outstanding support ticket that i cannot get an update on, so hoping someone here can help.

I have done all the correct things and I am unable to get the simulation working due to 404 errors - as reported by another user on this forum also.

Can someone look into this and let us all know when it is fixed. I don't mind it being broken as that can happen but it is the silence that is unhelpful.

The reported "fix" doesn't work as can be demonstrated by anyone who actually tries to do it.

Hi Steven,

Sorry for the inconvinience you are facing with simulation link not working.  Support team has been trying to follow up with you ( ticket #158) , somehow we have not  got any update from your side on that ticket. 

On this particular issue, the bug has been reported to the concerned team and I will update you as soon as a fix is available. However, as suggested in ticket as well, there is a workaround you can try in the meantime :-

1) Open Starfish Studo Page on web browser and instead of creating devices , directly go to the "View APIs" tab -

2) Select "Create a Device (POST)  [ under section "Devices : Retrieve data about your devices"]
solutionName:StudioSimulation 
Authorization: <Token from "Show Authorization Token">
Body { "deviceType": "dummy​", "domainInfo": { } }
3) Click on "Try it out"
4) The response code shall be 201 (Created)
5) Now the simulation can be executed 
6) If the simulation has been previously tried on the same session, the browser window needs to be reloaded.

Let me know if this doesnt work for you , you may continue to reply on the same ticket or post here whichever is easier.

Additionally, can you confirm whether you are receiving mail notifications for updates on the ticket raised by you .

Hi .Thanks for your reply. Your responses were getting added to my spam email but when i checked my ticket online there was no update or thread so i didn't know. Maybe worth adding a link or a "last updated" if it is all done by email :-)

Anyway, thankyou. The solution you sent does indeed work so i can get on with the api's!

Good to hear that workaround works for you !! On the main issue, the concerened team is still working on fixing this bug. I shall update you once fixed.
